Here's something worth thinking about.
Nobody will remember you had napkins
in exactly the right shade of lilac
unless someone photographed them.
But more than the napkins —
the way your dad looked at you.
The moment your mom realizes it's actually happening.
Your partner seeing you for the first time.
Your grandmother on the dance floor.
The exhale after vows.
The photographs are what all of it becomes.
Every detail and every feeling.
The only version of the day that stays.
And the person taking them
will be next to you for every single moment of it.
That person matters.
Make sure you actually like them.
It's your day — you deserve to love every part of it.
"The wedding day always goes by so fast. We are so happy we invested in someone who could deliver personal service and great photography."
We love photography, so our wedding photography was a top priority. We had a lot of difficulty finding a photographer who had experience, great style, and a fair price. We feel so lucky that we found Xenia - from the beginning, she made us feel like our wedding was as important to her as it was to us. In order to get all of the pictures we wanted, there were a lot of logistics and planning to figure out. Xenia was always patient, responsive, and helpful as we did our planning, even though we probably asked her way too many questions. The day of the wedding, Xenia and her assistant were professional, and they helped to keep us in the moment, enjoying the day. We are so happy with the beautiful pictures she delivered. The wedding day always goes by so fast, and we are so happy we invested in someone who could deliver personal service and great photography. We highly recommend Xenia for your engagement and wedding!
My role goes beyond photographing the day

I've been inside weddings from every angle —
not just as the photographer.
Planning timelines, coordinating logistics,
doing hair and makeup, running my own planning agency.
Most photographers just show up with a camera.
I show up knowing how a wedding day actually works —
where it flows, where it breaks,
and exactly what to do either way.
On your wedding day I'm not just watching what's happening.
I'm reading the whole room —
what's coming, what needs handling,
what's about to be a moment worth catching.
You get the photographs.
You also get someone who's been here before.
Many, many times.
Oh — your aunt is going to love me.
She'll pull me aside at the reception to tell me stories.
I will absolutely listen to every single one.

More than someone who Just shows up with a camera

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

STEP 01

We Talk
A relaxed Zoom call — no pressure, no pitch.
You tell me what matters most.
Who needs to be where. What the day should feel around.
I ask the right questions and start shaping things with you.
STEP 02

I Build Your Timeline
After our call I put together a few timeline options
based on everything you told me —
your priorities, your people, your pace.
Private moment after the ceremony?
Attending your own cocktail hour?
It's all in there. You choose what fits.
STEP 03

We Make It Official
Contract and retainer — all online, all easy.
Sign, done, you're mine. I am yours.
The fun part starts now.
STEP 04

We Prepare Everything Together
Questionnaires, details, updates, changes —
I'm with you the whole way.
I'll give you homework sometimes too.
Planning winter portraits on the coast?
I'll suggest you go there on a date first —
same season, same wind, same temperature —
so you know exactly what you're choosing.
Nothing about your day should be a surprise.
Except how good the photos turn out.

Your job is to live the day. Mine is to notice it

How coverage works
Wedding coverage usually ranges from 4–10 hours.
Each celebration is different, so coverage is tailored to the natural flow of the day.
Most of my couples choose 6 hours, which beautifully covers the heart of the celebration.
Longer coverage is ideal for couples planning a grand exit or extended evening celebration.

INVESTMENT

Not sure how much coverage your day needs?
That's exactly what our first conversation is for.
Every couple receives a custom timeline draft
before we even talk about hours.
Once we map out your day together,
the right coverage becomes obvious.
Most couples spend $3,600–$5,600
for full wedding day coverage.

Choosing Xenia was one of the best and most important decisions I made while planning.
From the very beginning, she was incredibly helpful, responsive, and knowledgeable. She helped guide us through the planning process and made sure everything ran smoothly on the wedding day.
Xenia has an incredible ability to capture real moments as they happen. Looking through our photos brought us right back to the day and all the emotions we felt. Our guests were also so impressed with her and kept asking who our photographer was.
We truly could not have asked for a better photographer and are so grateful to have these memories captured so beautifully."

FAQ

How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 9-14 months out, especially for peak season — May through October fills fastest.
That said, if your date is sooner, reach out anyway. I occasionally have openings, and it's always worth asking.
Do you travel outside Boston/New England?
I'm based in the Boston area and available throughout New England — Boston, North Shore, Cape Cod, coastal Maine, and Rhode Island.
Travel outside New England is available and subject to additional costs depending on location.
Reach out and tell me where you're getting married — I'll let you know what that looks like.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. A 25% retainer secures your date.
The remaining balance is split into two payments — one due 90 days before your wedding, the second due 30 days before.
Nothing is due on the day itself. You just get married.
Can we add hours on the day if we need more time?
Yes, I never schedule anything else for your wedding day.
Additional hours are easier to plan for in advance though — if you think you might need more time, let's build that in during our planning conversations rather than figure it out on the day.
Do you work with a second photographer?
A second photographer is available as an add-on for any package.
For larger weddings or multiple simultaneous locations it can make a real difference. We can talk through whether it makes sense for your specific day.
Do you do engagement sessions?
Yes — as an add-on, not included by default.
A lot of photographers bundle them into packages, but that just means you're paying for it either way — whether you want one or not.
I'd rather you book one because it actually matters to you, not because it came in the package.
Do you work with LGBTQ+ couples?
Absolutely.
My workflow is assumption-free and pronoun-respectful from the first email.
No making you explain yourselves or your family structure. Whoever you are, whoever you love — your story is safe here.
And it will be photographed with the same care and attention as every other wedding I've ever shot.
Do you work with families who are complicated, blended, or just a lot?
Yes. That's actually my favorite kind.
The ones you were born into and the ones you chose.
We're awkward in front of the camera. Is that a problem?
No. And I'd gently push back on the word awkward — most people feel that way until they don't.
Yes, sometimes I'll ask you to spin, or hold hands and walk away It takes about four seconds and then you're right back in your day with your people where you're supposed to be.
Most couples who tell me they hate photos forget I'm there within the first twenty minutes.
What if you get sick or something happens?
In fifteen years I haven't missed a single wedding.
But fair question — one can never be too prepared. In the event of a serious emergency (where I'm unable to communicate) or death, my assistant, who has all your wedding details — will contact you immediately with options:
an emergency photographer from my trusted network, or a full refund if you'd prefer to handle it independently.
If I'm at all able, I will personally edit your photos regardless of circumstances.
The style and quality you chose is what you receive.
That part I will always make sure of.
Do you photograph in bad weather?
Yes. New England weather has opinions and I've photographed in all of them.
Rain, fog, grey October skies — honestly some of my favorite galleries came from days that didn't go as planned.
The day still happens and so do the photos.
When do we get our photos?
Your fully edited gallery is typically delivered within 6-10 weeks.
Every image is hand-edited by me personally.
